DNA Early Gender Testing {at 8 weeks & up}

With our microneedle test you don’t have to worry about the DNA contamination issues than can offer with finger-prick home test kits. When pricking your finger at home, it’s easy to get male DNA contamination in the sample, resulting in getting false “boy” results. That happens a lot with the “at home finger-stick kits” you mail off because DNA gets on your hands from just being around males, changing baby boy diapers, even shaking hands & touching things that males have touched. Then when you prick your finger, the male DNA ends up in the blood sample. Because the lab is testing the blood for the Y (male) chromosome, this can result in false-boy results with the at-home kits. But you don’t have to worry about that problem with the microneedle tests done at 4D Sprouts.

No. This test is for gender only & ONLY checks for presence of the Y chromosome, which is the “boy” marker in terms of genetics. No other genetic tests are performed.

If you receive “boy” results with this test, you will know that you’re having at least one boy. If you receive “girl” results, you’ll know that you’re only expecting girls.

Yes, but please note that we always comply with AIUM guidelines, so even though we always check baby’s heartbeat and measure the heartbeat, we only “listen” to the sound of baby’s heartbeat at 12 weeks and up. This is a safety protocol mandated by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM) because listening to baby’s heartbeat requires a different power level mode on the ultrasound equipment, so it is a “stronger” type of ultrasound that is used for that, and the AIUM prohibits the use of that prior to baby’s 12th week.
